6 Amazing Research Expeditions Eagle Scouts Should Apply for Now

Eagle Scouts with a thirst for adventure and discovery have the opportunity to travel the world and dive into a field of interest by applying to the National Eagle Scout Association’s World Explorers Program.
The World Explorers Program pairs extraordinary Eagles with world-class researchers at sites around the globe. Selected Eagles have the chance to partake in field experiments in exotic places like the Galápagos Islands, Amazon rain forest, and South Africa. Check out the 6 roles available this year below:
- Amazon biologist
- Galapágos biologist
- NASA astrobiologist
- Paleoanthropologist
- Paleontologist
- Mammoth Cave speleologist
If you’re an Eagle Scout age 18 and older, apply now for a chance to be a part of this year’s NESA World Explorers Program. You must be a member of NESA, complete the online application form, and submit a 250-word essay before the deadline of 11:59 p.m. CST on March 15, 2017. Other requirements apply to individual opportunities, so don’t forget to read the fine print.
