How YOU Can Be Featured in Scouting Wire

How YOU Can Be Featured in Scouting Wire

Do you have a unique story about a Scout or Scouter doing something great? Or has an employee or volunteer gone above and beyond in some way or another? We want to hear about it! At the National Service Center we’re eager to hear what’s going on in your local councils and how Scouts are experiencing the fun and excitement that only Scouting can offer.

Scouts, parents, Scouting alumni, volunteers, and employees are encouraged to share their Scouting stories with the Scouting Wire team for a chance to have their stories featured on the site. As a Scouting Wire contributor, you’ll have the opportunity to share your Scouting adventures, council tips and tricks, accomplishments and other exciting news with hundreds of thousands of Scouters every week!

How to Share Your Story

Screen Shot 2016-09-01 at 12.40.48 PMSubmitting a story is simple. Take a look at our Scouting Wire Contributor Guidelines for an idea of the type of content to submit and the style we are looking for. Not a professional writer? Don’t worry – your stories don’t have to be perfect, either! Our team is happy to polish up your stories before they go live.

You can submit your stories in 2 different ways. You can either click the “Share Your Story” button located at the bottom of every Scouting Wire page or you can email completed stories to communications@scouting.org.
