Chris Mehaffey Announced as Scout Executive of the Mid-America Council

Congratulations to Chris Mehaffey who will begin serving as Scout executive of the Mid-America Council in Omaha, NE, effective March 1, 2017.

Chris began his Scouting career as a district executive with the Chickasaw Council in Memphis, TN. He moved on to become a district director and later a field director with the Circle Ten Council in Dallas TX. He was promoted to program director then finance director in the Black Warrior Council in Tuscaloosa, AL, and, for the last five years, he has served the Sagamore Council in Kokomo, IN, as their Scout executive.

Chris is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow who enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, shooting sporting clays, and anything related to aquatics.

Chris and his wife, Jennifer, have three young daughters.

Please join us in welcoming Chris as he joins in partnership with the volunteers and staff of the Mid-America Council to deliver quality Scouting experiences to the young people of the communities they serve.
