Eagle Scout Nitro Circus Blader Grew up in Boy Scouts

Eagle Scout Nitro Circus Blader Grew up in Boy Scouts

Wake Schepman’s story is the stuff 21st Century Scout dreams are made of. He soars and scales heights few get to see without a lift – not just because he’s an Eagle, but because he’s a rollerblading legend (at only 18).

He’s on tour with Nitro Circus – an action sports collective that travels the country and the premise for a 2009 MTV reality show. He’s also a merit badge counselor for the skating badge (imagine the expert insight Scouts can gain from him). And as the oldest of three Scout brothers, he has advice for kids in the program.

“I have been skating since I was five years old,” he said. “It is definitely a great opportunity to be involved in Scouts and still skate everyday. Just stay positive and work hard with what you love to do and understand that Scouting teaches you great life skills that can help you in everything.”

But that’s not all there is to know about Wake. Hear more of what he has to say about Scouting and learn which early 2000s TV show got him into blading by reading the full story on Scouting Newsroom.
