Great Projects for Scouts

Great Projects for Scouts

We know you love working on projects, building things with your own two hands. That desire to make and build has been a big part of Scouting for millions of young people. Maybe you’re looking for that next project to take on, or you might be on the hunt for a great science project idea, a fun project for kids, or a group project to work on with the family or a Scout unit. Did you know that Boys’ Life magazine keeps a great list of fun-to-do projects on its website?

On the site, you’ll find dozens of how-to projects with simple instructions and great photos and illustrations to help you learn how to make and build fun items as well as teach others how to make them. They list all of the tools you’ll need, the proper safety precautions to observe, and additional considerations to make the whole process a great learning experience.

The projects range in difficulty, but look through the list, and you’ll find a project that’s a perfect fit for your interests or the interests of your family or your Scouts.

Whether it’s a project like learning how to make a duct tape wallet, build a Mason jar bird feeder, construct a miniature golf course in your backyard, or use science to build a fast Pinewood derby car, there are tons of great opportunities to make something great!

Be sure to check out the site frequently to see the new projects that are added regularly.

Have you built anything from a how-to project you found in a Boys’ Life magazine or on their website? Tell us about it in the comments!
