Jim Battaglia Named Scout Executive of Stonewall Jackson Area Council

Congratulations to Jim Battaglia, who will serve as Scout executive of Stonewall Jackson Area Council in Waynesboro, Virginia, effective September 16, 2017.

Jim began his Scouting career as a district executive at Hiawatha Council in Syracuse, New York. He moved on to become the senior district executive and later program director with Hiawatha Seaway Council in Syracuse, New York. He was promoted to assistant Scout executive of the Longhouse Council in Syracuse, New York, and was then named assistant Scout executive of Greater Niagara Frontier Council in Buffalo, New York.

Jim is an Eagle Scout who enjoys golf, fishing, kayaking, and doing outdoor activities with his family.

Jim and his wife Tammy have two children, Michael, age 10 and Matthew, 9.
