This New Role Will Help Support Your Council’s Needs

We are pleased to announce an additional commissioned professional position, Deputy Scout Executive. This position was created through a collaborative process between Human Resources and several Scout executives who demonstrated the need for this role in certain local councils. Eligibility for the Deputy Scout Executive position will be restricted to grade 100 and 200 level councils. Remember that councils in other grades have an Assistant Scout Executive position available for a similar role.

The Deputy Scout Executive in a council will report directly to the Scout Executive. He or she will have responsibility for at least two functional operations within the council such as Field Services, Program Operations, Support Services, Marketing/Communications, Administrative Services, Development/Fundraising, etc. The full job profile is available on the HR Gateway.

For those councils that already have someone in a role similar to a Deputy Scout Executive and would like to move them to a Deputy Scout Executive title, please use the standard position change form to make the request.

If you have any questions about this new position, please call Lisa Young at 972-580-2021.
