Check Out Scoutbook’s Latest Improvements & See What’s In Store

Since its introduction in 2013, Scoutbook has been documenting the Scouting journey for thousands of youths and their families. The web-based Scouting app has gained more than 800,000 connected users and nearly 12,000 subscriptions!

What’s New:

Although Scoutbook has already rolled right through some serious web app achievements, it continues to grow and improve. Some of the recent feature developments include:

• Updated merit badge and Cub Scout award requirements
• Correct application of Webelos/Arrow of Light electives
• Changes to Report Builder to support multiple versions or ranks/merit badges
• Upgrades to web and database servers (to serve you super-fast!)

What’s Coming:

The web app’s popularity isn’t slowing down anytime soon and neither will its progress. Soon, users will see enhancements to Scoutbook such as:

• Automated sync between Scoutbook and ScoutNet/Akela (eliminating the need for internet advancement)
• Council features for messaging, calendar sharing, approved merit badge counselor lists
• Ability to verify unit information with BSA’s unit database
• Ability to support the Lion pilot program by August
