Your Scouting Story: Missing Out on Eagle Scout

Your Scouting Story: Missing Out on Eagle Scout

Did you catch the first “Your Scouting Story” last week? Well this week we continue the series devoted to what Scouting means to you by sharing a story that many Scouts may take to heart: not earning Eagle Scout.

Missing out on achieving Eagle Scout is one of the most common regrets in Scouting (and life). Whether it be teenage distractions like girls and cars or simply missing the 18th birthday deadline, many let reaching the Eagle rank fall to the wayside. Yet in Jason Wright’s case, he undervalued the effect of Eagle Scouts in their communities and believed he was “bigger than” the Eagle Scouts. But 20 years later, Jason came to a new realization.

Read Jason’s story Why I’m Not an Eagle Scout over on his blog and share with us what earning Eagle Scout means to you.
