Celebrate BSA’s 106th Anniversary With These Tasty Scout Cake Ideas

On February 8, 2016, Scouters everywhere will celebrate the program that brings them together—the 106^th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America!

As you may already know, in 1909, Chicago publisher W.D. Boyce was guided out of a thick fog by a young boy who refused to be tipped because as a Scout, he was simply doing a Good Turn. Inspired, Boyce then incorporated the Boy Scouts of America on February 8, 1910, thanks to his encounter with the boy the year before.

One hundred six years later, BSA is still going strong! Today’s youth are discovering ways to pursue interests, develop skills, and give back to their community through Scouting. Fortifying our nation’s youth with character development and values-based leadership is certainly something to celebrate.
