Tomorrow officially kicks off the Boy Scouts of America National Annual Meeting! So what is this gathering, exactly?

For those new to the world of Scouting, the National Annual Meeting, or “NAM” is where volunteers and employees come to share updates on the BSA, its programs, and its progress in developing America’s youth into future leaders.

This year’s conference in San Diego will feature the Annual Business Meeting, national committee meetings, and specialized strategy seminars like the All Markets Strategy Summit.

Scouters from across the country join in celebrating Scouting’s values while recognizing exceptional Scouts during a variety of events. Attendees can also learn about the latest BSA programs and support resources at the exhibit hall.

Whether or not you’ll be in San Diego for the festivities, you can participate in the Scouting fellowship of NAM 2016– just tune in to Scouting Wire to stay up-to-date on all the latest news.

Have you attended any past National Annual Meetings? Share your NAM adventures with us in the comments!
