Pikes Peak Council Welcomes New Scout Executive

jim-machamer-jpgPlease join us in congratulating James Machamer, who will serve as Scout executive of the Pikes Peak Council in Colorado Springs, CO, effective January 1, 2017.

Jim began his Scouting career as a district executive at the Pikes Peak Council, and later moved to Denver, where he served as a district executive, senior Exploring executive, Exploring director, Learning for Life director, and assistant director of field service. He went on to become the director of field service and later deputy Scout executive with the Denver Area Council in Denver, CO.

Jim is an Eagle Scout who enjoys the mountains, golfing, bicycling, skiing, softball, and sporting clays. His father and son are both Eagle Scouts.

He and his wife, Lisa, have two children, age 21 and 18.

Jim joins in partnership with the volunteers and staff of the Pikes Peak Council to deliver quality Scouting experiences to the young people of the communities they serve. Help us welcome Jim as he begins his new role in Scouting by wishing him well in the comments below!
