Bring the quality your Scouts deserve to outdoor programs by registering for the BSA’s National Outdoor Conference!

We’re talking about Scouting’s biggest get‐together of professionals and volunteers charged with delivering the world’s greatest outdoor program for youth. The conference is Oct. 14 – 18, 2015, at Philmont Scout Ranch.

Think four days of backcountry excursions, outdoor vendor exhibits, sessions with camping and outdoor experts, competitions, and fellowship with Scouting’s top outdoor leaders – all amidst the fresh mountain air of the BSA’s oldest High-Adventure base. You’ll learn new methods to take back to your Scout unit, district and council, and share your ideas with fellow Scouters. Plus, you’ll glimpse a sneak peek of the latest in outdoor programs and gear.

Should I Attend the National Outdoor Conference?

If you are involved in national, regional, area, council, district or unit outdoor program delivery, this conference is for you!

Scout executives, directors of support services, program directors, rangers, camp directors, council presidents, council program vice-presidents, council and district camping, conservation, aquatics, COPE/climbing, and shooting sports committee chairpersons, properties chairpersons, and any other volunteer or professional responsible for delivery of outdoor programs is welcome to this one-of-a-kind training opportunity.

Attendees will hear from Mike Fossum, NASA astronaut and Eagle Scout, on the final night of the conference. Space station commander, spacewalker, and (here on Earth) Scoutmaster Mike Fossum will share stories and photos of his adventures in space and in Scouting.

There’s even a chance for attendees to get their competition on in the Phil-Mazing Race! Participants will be broken up into teams that will look for a series of caches in the Rayado Ridge area located in the south country of Philmont. Winners will earn prizes and special patches.
