Space Station Research Inspiration from Eagle Scout Astronaut

You may have heard that the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) and the Pathway to Adventure Council have teamed up for the Space Station National Design Challenge, a student research competition in Chicago.

As the competition (which sends winning projects on a voyage to the International Space Station) draws near, participants are working to get their applications in by May 29. So for the Chicago-area Scouts needing extra motivation to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity, check out Eagle Scout and astronaut Gregory H. Johnson’s message below!

Head to the Pathway to Adventure Council Space Station National Design Challenge webpage for more info like a program description, application instructions, FAQs, and the link to submit your units application: http://www.iss-casis.org/Opportunities/Solicitations/RFANationalDesignChallenge2015.aspx

How to Support the National Design Challenge

You can help support the Pathway to Adventure Council as it engages and energizes young women and men in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields through an authentic learning experience that leverages the International Space Station! Text SPACESTATION to 71777 to support the campaign, or share the link to the fundraiser page on Facebook.
