Bay Area Council Welcomes Charlie Tinsley as New Scout Executive

Please join us in congratulating Charlie Tinsley in his new position as Scout executive of the Bay Area Council in Galveston, TX, effective March 1, 2017.

Charlie began his Scouting career as Exploring executive of the Detroit Area Council in Detroit, MI. He moved on to become the finance director and later field director with the Detroit Area Council. He was promoted to Scout executive of the Virgin Islands Council in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, before moving on to serve as finance director of the Heart of Virginia Council in Richmond, VA; as director of development at Three Harbors Council in Milwaukee, WI; and as director of development in the Sam Houston Area Council in Houston, TX.

Charlie enjoys traveling, movies, golf, tennis and other sports, and family activities with his wife, Patricia, and their two children.
