BSA Revs Up for Monster Jam

BSA Revs Up for Monster Jam

Monster-jam-BSAWhen you think of Monster Jam, you probably imagine giant trucks jacked to the max flying through the air, crushing cars, pulling dizzying donuts. But you may not immediately see the event as a viable way to get kids into Scouting.

Circle Ten Council is hoping to change that.

On Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, the Boy Scouts of America’s Monster Truck will take to the turf (or Monster Jam friendly dirt) of the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. Fans will delight in the Pit Party, where they can meet drivers and marvel at the trucks. The Boy Scouts of America booth will boast a Pinewood Derby track, where both current Scouts and kids unfamiliar with Scouting can get in on the rubber-burning action.

And let’s not forget the main event: Monster Trucks pulling off some daring, crushingly epic Monster Jam freestyle. Check back next week for pictures from the high octane event and a recap of how effective the BSA booth was in reaching potential Scouts.
