Carlos Cortez Named Scout Executive of Los Padres Council

Carlos Cortez has been named Scout executive of the Los Padres Council in Santa Barbara, California, effective March 16. Carlos will join in partnership with the volunteers and staff of the Los Padres Council to deliver quality Scouting experiences to the young people of the communities they serve.
Carlos began his Scouting career as district executive of the San Gabriel Valley Council in Pasadena, California. He was appointed field director and later director of field service with the San Gabriel Valley Council. He was then promoted to director of field service of the Western Los Angeles County Council inVan Nuys, California. Carlos and his wife, Martha, have four children.
