Central Florida Council Welcomes New Scout Executive

Eric-Magendantz.jpgJoin us in congratulating Eric Magendantz as Scout Executive of the Central Florida Council in Apopka, FL, effective October 1, 2016.

Eric began his Scouting career as district executive at the Gulf Ridge Council in Tampa, FL. He moved on to become a senior district executive and later finance director with the Pine Tree Council in Portland, ME. He was promoted to finance director of the Del-Mar-Va Council in Wilmington, DE, before moving on to the role of director of field service of Connecticut Rivers Council, Hartford, CT. He then was selected as Scout executive of the Chester County Council in West Chester, PA, and has been serving most recently as Scout executive of the Mid-America Council in Omaha, NE.

Eric enjoys golfing, fishing, running half marathons, playing the guitar, and reading.

Eric has one son, Max, who is a recent Eagle Scout and will be attending Penn State in the fall.

Eric joins in partnership with the volunteers and staff of the Central Florida Council, and his return to the Southern Region, to deliver unparalleled Scouting experiences to the young people of the communities they serve. Wish him well in the comments below!
