Complete Your Talent Profiles to Support Career Growth & Recognition

Regional directors Ponce Duran, Tom Harrington, Al Lambert, and Don McChesney have a special message for you. Read on to learn more about how to boost your professional development in a few easy steps.

Completing your talent profile is critical for filling vacancies and identifying candidates for Scout Executive pools.

Finding the most qualified candidates for councils is a top priority for each region.  We need your help in ensuring you and your professional staff members take 15 minutes to complete your talent profiles.  You can knock this out at the beginning of your next staff meeting or through one-on-ones with staff leaders.

The regional talent managers are available to teleconference in to your next staff meeting to support you if you need it.

talent-profileResources on the talent profile system and how to complete each section may be found on the HR Gateway under “Planning Your Career”. Then select “Creating Your Talent Profile”.

We are counting on you to take the lead within your council to have 100% of your professionals with a completed talent profile by October 1, 2015.  A council report will be sent to your area director the first week of October to show your council’s status.

Your council deserves to find the best candidates to fill professional vacancies and your team deserves to have career opportunities that best match their talents.

If you need even more reason to complete your profile, we’ve got one for you! We want to highlight Scouting professionals for their achievements, promotions and the unique skills that they bring to the organization on Scouting Wire.  Update your Talent Profile and upload a current head shot to your PDS page, as well as mail to Christy.Batchelor@pearson.com.

Thanks for taking this important step to bolster career growth on your team!
