Don Shepard Announced as the Scout Executive of Michigan Crossroads Council

Congratulations to Donald D. Shepard Jr. who will serve as Scout executive of the Michigan Crossroads Council in Lansing, Michigan, effective May 1, 2017.

Don began his Scouting career as a district executive at Buckskin Council in Charleston, West Virginia. He moved on to become the program director in Buckskin and later promoted to finance director with Simon Kenton Council in Columbus, Ohio. He was promoted to assistant Scout executive at Land of the Oneidas Council in Utica, New York, followed by an appointment as Scout executive of the Mason-Dixon Council in Hagerstown, Maryland.

He then joined the Northeast Region team as region program director before joining the National Service Center as team leader for youth development. His latest role was as Scout executive for the Daniel Webster Council in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Don is an Eagle Scout who enjoys fishing, hunting, backpacking, camping, and cooking. He and his wife, Sara, have three grown children.
