Don’t Miss Out! 2015 Philmont Council & District Key 3 Conferences

Imagine enjoying a week of quality time at Philmont– with your Key 3 and Key 3s from many other councils – discussing the role of the Key 3 and how they work together to build and operate a successful Scouting program. Brand new dynamic and relevant syllabuses have been designed for use this summer by ScoutingU and Regional operations to give you the tools to take Scouting to a new level in your area of responsibility.

Instructors for these conferences are experienced trainers who have an extensive understanding of district and council operations and who have also successfully served districts in past Scouting roles.

District Key 3

The District Key 3 conference will help you:

• Build District Key 3 – Alignment with Purpose
• Define the role of each of the members of the District Key 3
• Recognize and use JTE tools of measuring effective district operation
• Create your personal Playbook
• Evaluate your leadership style as a Key 3 as seen by your district committee.
• Learn how to use the nominating committee to increase the capacity of your district committee
• Review the principles of running effective meetings
• Identify the resources available to District Key 3 members
• Recruit a complete team of quality district volunteers
• Outline personal back-home action plans
• Discover answers to specific district questions and problems

Sessions are available: June 21-27, July 26-August 1, August 2-8 and August 9-15.

Council Key 3

Topics during the Council Key 3 conference of top council leadership include Journey to Excellence as it pertains to finance, membership, program, unit service, and leadership and governance, volunteer and professional relationships, strategic planning, council and district operations, commissioner service, marketing, social media and technology, Key 3 orientation, and Enterprise Risk Management. The week includes time for breakout sessions by position. Participants are encouraged to attend as a Council Key 3 team.
