Solving one Rubik’s Cube takes ingenuity and skill. Solving 5,980?

That’s a grand slam.

Eagle Scout Connor Wright of the Greater St. Louis Area Council turned those Rubik’s Cubes into a giant mosaic honoring Stan Musial, the legendary St. Louis Cardinals baseball player. The finished product, which took weeks of painstaking work, measures 12 feet by 17 feet.

Connor designed the artwork on his computer and solved each cube by hand before mounting each one to the wall. The mosaic is on display now at Cardinals Nation in downtown St. Louis, where fans can check it out just in time for the Major League Baseball playoffs.
