Ensuring a Safe Environment for Employees

Ensuring a Safe Environment for Employees

One of the most foundational imperatives we have as an organization is to provide and maintain a safe environment. You have heard that need underscored for youth, but it is just as important in the workplace so we are able to bring Scouting to more communities, families, and youth.

Hear from Chief Scout Executive Michael Surbaugh and Erin Eisner, our new Chief Strategy Officer for Culture and People, about the BSA’s commitment to ensuring a safe environment for professionals and the tools and resources available to you to help us ensure we all do everything we can to make sure there is no place for this behavior in our organization.

Our organization teaches young people about respect for others and to make good and moral decisions throughout their lifetime.  Those values must also be upheld in our professional workplaces – we will not tolerate any less.

To anonymously report harassment, please visit www.EthicsPoint.com.

Additionally, support for employees through our Employee Assistance Program. More information about EAP is available via the HR Gateway on www.mybsa.org.

Thank you for helping make sure that our organization is one where professionals and volunteers can work together to bring our transformative experience to life for more Scouts in the future.
