This Exceptional Venturer Won the 2017 Outdoor Inspiration Award

For the third year in a row, a youth member of the BSA has won the Youth category in the Outdoor Inspiration Awards! To those in Scouting (or even those that know someone in Scouting), this winning streak comes as no surprise considering the enormous pool of talented young men and women that comprise the organization.

As you may remember from a Scouting Wire story back in November, the Outdoor Inspiration Awards celebrate those that inspire and encourage others in their communities to enjoy, participate in and support outdoor activities and the outdoor industry.

This year, the award was granted to Lillian Rose Weihert, a Venturer from the Pathway to Adventure Council. She was recognized from a list of nominees for her work in angler education through the BSA’s Certified Angling Instructor Program.

To learn more about this remarkable Venturer and the previous BSA winners, head to Bryan on Scouting for the full story. Share your well wishes to Lillian in the comments below!
