marc-ryan-jpgPlease join us in celebrating the selection of Marc J. Ryan as Scout executive of the Greater Cleveland Council, Cleveland, OH, effective November 1.

Marc began his Scouting career as a program executive in the Narragansett Council in Providence, RI. He then moved on to join the camping department and later Urban Emphasis/Learning for Life Division in the Greater New York Councils in New York City.

He was soon promoted to the Theodore Roosevelt Council in Long Island, NY, where he served in leadership positions including district director and director of field service. Following Long Island, he was promoted to director of field service in the Cradle of Liberty Council in Philadelphia, PA, and later was promoted to Scout executive of the Rainbow Council headquartered in Morris, IL. Since January of 2015, Marc has been serving as the deputy Scout executive in the newly formed Pathway to Adventure Council, Chicago, IL.

Marc is an Eagle Scout who enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, football, traveling, and spending time with his family as a coach, Scout leader, or at home. He and his wife, Kelly, have three children ages 9, 8, and 5.

We invite you to wish Marc well as he joins in partnership with the volunteers and staff of the Greater Cleveland Council to deliver quality Scouting experiences to the young people of the communities they serve. Congratulate him in the comments below!
