Greater Los Angeles Area Council Welcomes New Scout Executive

Please join us in congratulating Jeffrey Hunt as Scout executive of the Greater Los Angeles Area Council in Los Angeles, CA, effective February 1, 2017.

Jeff began his Scouting career as a district executive at the South Florida Council in Miami Lakes, FL, in 1985. He also served as field director, finance director, and director of field service in the South Florida Council.

He was promoted to Scout executive of the Nevada Area Council in Reno, NV, and then returned to serve as Scout executive in the South Florida Council. Jeff was promoted to deputy regional director of the Southern Region and later to deputy regional director of the Western Region.

Jeff enjoys golf, hiking, and spending time in the outdoors. He and his wife, Renee, have four children.

Jeff joins in partnership with the volunteers and staff of the Greater Los Angeles Area Council to deliver quality Scouting experiences to the young people of the communities they serve. Help us welcome Jeff as he begins his new role in Scouting by wishing him well in the comments below!
