Help Staff the Jamboree and Serve Youth as Part of the Medical Services Team

The 2017 National Jamboree is just around the corner, and we are looking for volunteers like you to help create this once-in-a-lifetime experience for Scouts.

We want you! We invite you to join us as volunteer medical staff to provide Scouts with an incredible experience at Scouting’s main event. Substantive improvements to the site layout, transportation routes, and shower/wash facilities will make the jamboree your home away from home this coming July.

The 2017 Medical Services Leadership Team is looking for health-care professionals and medical support staff volunteers (no medical experience needed) from July 15 through July 29, 2017 — volunteer for the entire jamboree or for just one week.

One of the most amazing parts of the jamboree, and Scouting in general, is the leadership that so many selfless adult volunteers provide for young people. Through that leadership, volunteers at the jamboree are directly responsible for delivering world-class medical care, facilitating meaningful program, inspiring confidence, and creating value-added opportunity on every level of the massive organizational chart.

There are openings for the following positions:

  • Physician
  • Physician assistant
  • Advanced practice nurse (NP, CNS)
  • Nurse
  • Mental health professional
  • Pharmacist
  • Paramedic/EMT
  • Technician/aide
  • Clerk/support staff
  • Medical information technologist
  • Medical supply personnel
  • Dentist

Serving on staff is a rewarding experience that allows you to help young men and women have a jamboree they’ll never forget. You’ll also have time off from your medical responsibilities to enjoy the jamboree. So join the fun by lending a helping hand as a jamboree staff volunteer!

If you have any questions for the Medical Services Leadership Team, please contact jambomed@scouting.org.
