Jeff Doty Selected as Scout Executive of Illowa Council

Join us as we congratulate Jeff Doty, who will serve as Scout executive of Illowa Council in Davenport, Iowa, effective August 1, 2018.

Jeff began his Scouting career 26 years ago as a district executive for Southeast Missouri Council in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He moved on to become the senior district executive in Munster, Indiana; district director in St. Louis; and, later, field director in Peoria, Illinois.

He was promoted to director of field service of Lewis & Clark Council in Belleville, Illinois, and then as Scout executive of Mountaineer Area Council in Fairmont, West Virginia.

Jeff is an Eagle Scout, a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow, and is Wood Badge trained. He enjoys the outdoors and camping, and working on his house and family farm in Missouri in his spare time. He and his wife, Jill, have two grown children, Molly and Jacob (who also is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member).

In the comments below, please help us welcome Jeff to his new role in Scouting as he joins the volunteers and staff of Illowa Council to deliver quality Scouting experiences to the communities they serve.
