JTE Leadership Hour to Showcase Members’ Digital Experience: March 5

The March JTE Leadership Hour takes a deep dive into the rapidly evolving world of our members’ digital experience. Please join Gary Butler, deputy chief scout executive, and our Marketing Team for a revealing look at trends in digital behavior, what’s hot, and what’s on the horizon. During this session we will discuss the Boy Scouts of America’s digital strategy, as well as the tools and resources currently available and those coming in the future. The digital experts on our panel will discuss the value of using social media, on-line Web experience, email, and other tools and platforms to enhance members’ digital experiences. The digital experience is one of the four key experiences that every member receives and is part of everything we do—“delivering life-changing experiences that you can’t get anywhere else!”

To RSVP for the Broadcast
We will have only one broadcast at 9 a.m. Central time.The broadcast will be taped and can be viewed any time after posting. The name of this event is: JTE Leadership Club 3-05-2014.

You can click the RSVP button on the channel page and we will email you just before the start of the scheduled broadcast.

Preparing Your Phone or PC
You will need to prepare your iPhone and/or PC to join the meeting. Once you have taken time to prepare your PC and/or iPhone, you will be able to set your preferences, set up reminders for future meetings, and browse through the BSA National Council video-stream library of earlier events. (iPads are already compatible and very simple to connect.)

Preparing your computer to connect to the meeting:

Open any of the following browsers: ie9, Safari, Firefox, Chrome.
In the search bar, enter http://www.livestream.com/bsanationalcouncil/.

Note: Be sure you have the most current version of Flash installed on your PC. To update your Flash player, click here.

Preparing your iPhone to connect to the meeting:

Go to the App store on your iPhone and search for the Livestream App.
Download the Livestream app to your mobile device.
Once the app is installed on your iPhone, open the app and search for the channel bsanationalcouncil.
Click on the channel and in the top right-hand corner of the screen you will see a curved arrow.
Click on the arrow and choose Follow from the options listed.

This will allow your app to notify you each time the channel goes live.
When notified, simply click on the notification to Join the Broadcast, or launch the app and click on the channel from your followed channels.

Preparing your iPad to connect to the meeting:
Prior to the meeting, follow these steps to test the link:
1. Open Safari.
2. Search on http://www.livestream.com/bsanationalcouncil/.

Please note: There are no audio connections via dial-in bridge for this session. Please select from one of the three methods listed above to join the meeting.
