Let the Countdown Begin for Exploring Summerfest 2016

This July, the Summit Bechtel Reserve will welcome Explorers from all over the country for a massive Exploring adventure like we’ve never seen before: Summerfest 2016!

Last week we gave you the breakdown on the first ever Exploring Summerfest, coming July 27-30, 2016. Explorers who attend will be in for three days of back-to-back adventure as they experience the Summit’s awesome activities like rappelling, whitewater rafting, and more.

But these events won’t be the only festivities going on at Summerfest.  In addition to the action-packed activities, you’ll get to kick back Summit-style at the Summerfest Luau on the Sand and Paddle Boat beach. You’ll also get to close out the week at the ultimate karaoke music extravaganza and ice cream party with a live DJ, party games and Dance‐O‐Rama.

Explorers who are interested in serving in any youth officer position of his or her post will have the opportunity to participate in the first annual Exploring Officers Association (EOA) meeting while at Summerfest 2016. Current and future youth post officers will learn more about what the EOA is all about, and will assist in developing the overall vision of the EOA on a national level. This is your chance to leave your mark on future members of the EOA for years to come.
