Michael Vangelov Selected as Scout Executive of Western Colorado Council

Congratulations to Michael Vangelov, who will serve as Scout executive of Western Colorado Council in Grand Junction, Colorado, effective April 15, 2018.

Mike began his Scouting career as a district executive at Utah National Parks Council in Provo, Utah. He then moved on to become a development director and, later, district director with Grand Canyon Council in Phoenix, Arizona. He was promoted to field director with Great Lakes Council in Detroit, Michigan, and then moved on to serve as the director of development of Grand Teton Council in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Mike is an Eagle Scout who enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He and his wife, Karen, have two children.

In the comments below, please help us welcome Mike to his new role as he joins the volunteers and staff of Western Colorado Council to deliver quality Scouting experiences to the  communities they serve.
