New Scout Executive for Central North Carolina Council

Greg-BalogCongratulations to Greg Balog- Central North Carolina Council’s newest Scout executive! Greg will step into his new role in Albemarle, N.C., beginning April 16, 2015.

Greg joins the Central North Carolina Council with a vast Scouting background, ready to deliver quality Scouting experiences for the young people in Albemarle communities. Starting his Scouting career at the Blue Ridge Council in Greenville, S.C., he served as finance director and became field director. He was promoted to assistant Scout executive of the Indian Waters Council in Columbia, S.C., and then took on the foundation director position at the Circle Ten Council in Dallas, Texas. Currently, he works as director of field service at the Circle Ten Council until he embarks on his latest adventure in North Carolina.

An avid outdoorsman, Greg enjoys backpacking, biking, canoeing and hunting in his free time. He’s also a summa cum laude graduate of Anderson College. He and his wife, Chantelle, have two children.

Please join us in congratulating Greg as he joins in partnership with the volunteers and staff of the Central North Carolina Council!
