Report Your Council’s Camping Stats with This Easy Tool

A full year of Scout campouts has come to a close for the 2014 -2015 Camping Report, so now is the time to track those fun experiences within your councils!

The Camping Manager Tool is available for councils to report camping statistics for the past year. This will be the means to collect all camp participation numbers for Journey to Excellence.

There is no change in the reporting process from last year. Camping numbers need to be reported by district and are due by September 30. The numbers reported will reflect camp attendance for the period of September 1, 2014, through August 31, 2015.

You can check out the instructions for using the tool to report the numbers in the Camping Manager User Guide. You can also review the 2015 Camping Manager Worksheet for help collecting the data to enter in the tool. It’s formatted to follow the order on the reporting tool, but feel free to modify it to suit your needs. An additional worksheet to help districts track units is still available in the District Tools section at www.scouting.org/jte.

*Please note that council totals will be determined by summing the district data at the close of the reporting period. At this point, the council totals will be fixed, although data for districts can still be adjusted for changes in district structures.
