Sam Thompson Selected as Scout Executive of Circle Ten Council

Please join us in congratulating  Samuel Thompson, who will serve as Scout executive of Circle Ten Council in Dallas, Texas, effective September 1, 2017.

Sam began his Scouting career as a district executive at Nevada Area Council in Reno, Nevada, where he moved on to become the senior district executive and later field director. He was promoted to director of field service of Golden Empire Council in Sacramento, California, and went on to become the Scout executive of Ore-Ida Council in Boise, Idaho. He came to the national office in 2006 as director of the Cub Scout Division and currently serves as the group director of Information Technology.

Sam is an Eagle Scout who enjoys golf, hunting, gardening, baseball, and parenting. He and his wife, Debi, have one child, Nicolas.
