Scott Lagasse, Jr. Races STEM to NASCAR Finish Line
Thanks to Scott Lagasse, Jr.’s lightening fast racing skills, STEM Scouts is a NASCAR racing champion! Not exactly the program itself, but Scott’s race car was covered in the STEM Scouts name, deeming it the STEM Scouts Chevy truck. And after 166 high-octane laps around the NASCAR track, Lagasse, Jr. sped across the finish line with an 8th place spot on Friday, May 8 for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS).
The night was packed with twists and turns around every corner, so nabbing a top ten rank was undoubtedly a solid win. But Lagasse is confident the top spot is in his grasps.
“This team is not far off from a win and we learned a lot this weekend,” said Lagasse, Jr. “I think tonight’s experience puts us in a great spot to get better for future intermediate tracks.”
But that’s not all! Catch the full story on Scouting Newsroom to hear more about Scott’s race to the finish line and what Cub Scouts are learning from it!
Reminder about BSA Racing
The BSA Racing program is a royalty-free arrangement, meaning that thanks to the generous support of Scott Lagasse Racing, there’s no cash investment from the BSA. Instead, the BSA lists supporters as national sponsors in its promotional materials — that’s it.
