Tom Jansen Selected as Scout Executive of Transatlantic Council

Please join us as we congratulate Tom Jansen as Scout executive of Transatlantic Council in Brussels, Belgium effective November 1, 2018.

After serving as a Peace Corps forester in Burkina Faso, Tom began his Scouting career as an associate district executive at National Capital Area Council, where he also served as district executive, senior district executive, and senior district executive m/p. He served as a senior district executive at Transatlantic Council in Naples, Italy and district director and field director in Baltimore Area Council. 

He was Scout executive in Greenwich, Connecticut before moving to the National Service Center where he served as senior professional development specialist with the Center for Professional Development and ScoutingU, team leader for Strategy, and team leader for IT Communications.

Tom is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. He enjoys traveling, writing, reading, and spending time with his family to include their cocker spaniel Cassee. Tom and his wife Carol have a son Brandon, who is married to Karen and serving in the U.S. Army.
