Vijay Challa Announced as Group Director, Information Technology

Congratulations to Vijay Challa, who will serve as BSA’s Group Director of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer effective September 1, 2017.

In this role, he will be responsible for the following areas: IT Strategy, Innovation, Development, Program Management Office, Infrastructure, Data Warehouse and Compliance, along with managing the accounting for these significant services.

For the past year, Vijay has distinguished himself as the Chief Technology Officer for the BSA, and has been instrumental in moving our information systems forward as one of the “big rocks” of the BSA Game Plan.

He is a dynamic and innovative leader with over 18 years of hands-on experience in designing and delivering cutting-edge IT solutions for companies like Sabre, IBM, and Fidelity Investments. He has been credited with building API gateways, desktop platforms, mobile commerce platforms, and highly scalable SaaS infrastructure products.

He has a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a Bachelor’s of Technology, ECE from Osmania University.

He lives in the Lewisville, Texas area with his wife, Sharmila, and two children, Ishita, 7, and Yash, 3. He likes to dabble with his home theater, IoT devices, and gardening in his spare time.
