Welcome the New Area 5 Director of the Southern Region

Join us in congratulating Lamar Perry as Area Director for area five of the Southern Region, effective December 16, 2015.

Lamar began his Scouting career in 1996 as District Executive at the Middle Tennessee Council in Nashville, Tenn. He was promoted to Senior District Executive later in the same council. In 2001, he moved on to become the Field Director with the Northeast Georgia Council, in Jefferson, Ga. In 2005, he was promoted to Assistant Scout Executive of the Palmetto Council in Spartanburg, S.C.  In 2010, he was promoted to Scout Executive of the Northwest Georgia Council in Rome, Ga.

Lamar and his wife, Tammy have two sons: Trenton, a Tenderfoot Scout and Zachary, a Bear Cub Scout. Lamar enjoys working out, and selling popcorn and camp cards with his sons in their Scout unit.
