Why This Family Can’t Stop Talking About Day Camp

BSA_ATM5_1Any Cub Scout will tell you, nothing says summertime like Cub Scout day camp. Obstacle courses, arts and crafts and sporting activities aplenty, at day camp, there’s never a dull moment. And that’s exactly what mom blogger Stephanie Wagner and her twin sons discovered upon experiencing their local council‘s twilight day camp for the first time. Read Stephanie’s take on day camp to find out why you should introduce Cub Scout day camp to your friends and family!

Starting the day by reciting the Scout Oath and joining pack ‘helium’ for the afternoon, Stephanie and her sons were instantly impressed with the Scouting spread before them. The family jumped across several stations exploring activities based on the camp theme, ‘Gadgets, Gizmos, and Goo.’

From the cloud station to the super-soaked H2O station, the twins had a blast learning about the states of matter. In fact, once the day came to a close, they couldn’t stop singing the day’s praises.

“Both boys talked about the camp our entire 35 minute drive,” shared Wagner. “They particularly loved making the goo and the water relay game. They also asked me if I would take them to a Boy Scout camp again next year.”

Cub Scout day camp introduces families to a world of fun and exploration they can’t experience anywhere else. And it’s the perfect opportunity to show parents and kids why thousands of Cub Scouts and their parents across the country can’t stop talking about Scouting.

Share the fun of Scouting with your friends and family by inviting them to your council’s next day camp event and discover why Stephanie’s twins can’t wait to go again next year by checking out Stephanie Wagner’s blog, And Twins Make 5.
