You Won’t Want to Miss Veterans Appreciation Day 2017

You Won’t Want to Miss Veterans Appreciation Day 2017

Story by Danny Bell of the Summit Bechtel Reserve

THANK YOU VETERANS!

With today being Veterans Day, we wanted to show our appreciation for the men and women of the United States Armed Forces by announcing our third annual Veterans Appreciation Day! Veterans and their families should mark their calendar for June 17, 2017 so they can be sure to attend this iconic event.

As more information is confirmed we will be updating our event page and making posts through our official Facebook page.

For an idea of what to expect at the event, check out last year’s video from the big day!

With the event not happening until next summer, check out a list of national chains and restaurants offering freebies and deals on the Summit’s original blog post to celebrate Veterans Day, today.

For those that aren’t a veteran or have one in your family, try to attend a Veterans Day event in your area; a parade, service, or banquet for veterans. Roy Rogers said, “We can’t all be heroes; someone has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by.” Veterans Day is a great opportunity to do just that.

How are you celebrating Veterans Day?

Scouting Wire would like to thank Danny Bell at the Summit for sharing this story.
