Have you ever joined a Twitter chat? If not, now’s your chance because the BSA is jumping in a live Twitter chat event for Bullying Prevention Awareness Month that you won’t want to miss.

In collaboration with Mom.me and PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center, the BSA is boosting awareness for bullying prevention and sharing how Scouting helps to prevent bullying during a Twitter chat on Unity Day, October 21, 2015. Councils, volunteers and the whole Scouting family are invited to attend with the BSA and share their stories, tips and insights on this issue.

How Can You Join?

Participate and follow the conversation simply by using the Twitter chat hashtag #NoBullying2015 on Wednesday, October 21 at 12 p.m on Twitter. Scouts and Scouters are also encouraged to include #AScoutIsKind in their tweets, pointing to the anti-bullying principles of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

These hashtags filter the event’s chatter into one conversation so you can engage with other participants and tweet about bullying prevention awareness in real time. You can also search #NoBullying2015 within Twitter to read the conversation thread in its entirety.

Plan to attend the #NoBullying2015 Twitter chat and share this story with your Scouting network so they can participate too. And for more ways to help fight bullying, check out the 6 Ways to Fight Bullying This Month.
