Pearson Exhibit Hall Takes Scouters to the Summit and Beyond

Pearson Exhibit Hall Takes Scouters to the Summit and Beyond

What do you get when you mix zip line simulations, a Sasquatch photo opp, a wilderness survival Eagle Scout celebrity, a real life NASCAR driver, and the chance to shoot arrows at a moving target? The answer: really excited Scouters.

We could only be describing the Pearson Exhibit Hall’s smattering of BSA-themed fun and partnerships on display.

National Annual Meeting (or for you social media gurus, #NAM2015) brought the adventure of Scouting right into downtown Atlanta’s Hyatt Regency. And since you probably haven’t stopped thinking about that simulated zip line since we first mentioned it, check out the experience (created by Alford Media Services) for yourself:

Feel part of the action yet? Well you haven’t quite tasted the level of Scouting celebrity in the Pearson Exhibit Hall until you’ve talked to Creek Stewart – TV show host-turned-keynote speaker of the Americanism Breakfast. After the breakfast, Creek posted up at the NESA booth to meet fans, sign autographs, and snap photos.

If you missed out on catching up with Creek, don’t worry. He answered a few questions in the video below (and even filled us in on wilderness survival fashion). Check it out:

Creek wasn’t the only big name in the house this week. Fishing aficionado Tom Redington and NASCAR racer Scott Lagasse, Jr. also made appearances at the Pearson Exhibit hall. Lagasse even had his STEM Scouts truck on site, much to the excitement of attendees who got to sit in it.IMG_0144[1]

And let’s not forget who all the hard work is for – Scouts! Whether roaming exhibits with their Scouter parents or helping run a booth, Scouts had a presence in the Pearson exhibit hall. Order of the Arrow regional chiefs even treated attendees to an ArrowTour exhibit that brought OA history to life – and they had a pretty cool selfie station set up too.

Were you able to make it to the Pearson Exhibit Hall this week? If so, what was your favorite booth?
