What Does It Mean to Be an American? This Eagle Gets the Answer

What Does It Mean to Be an American? This Eagle Gets the Answer

When Eagle Scout Dave Jorgenson has a question, he gets the answer. We know this from his previous adventures questioning the current state of chivalry and at what time you become an adult.

So when the Eagle was unsatisfied with the dictionary definition of “American,” he didn’t just take it to the streets to get to the bottom of it – he went to shining examples of what it looks like to be an American.

According to Bryan on Scouting, Jorgenson of the Independent Journal Review series, “Dear Dave” debuted his latest video installment at last week’s National Annual Meeting in San Diego. Dave asked Cub Scouts, Eagle Scouts, Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh, former BSA President Dr. Robert M. Gates, congressmen and veterans to explain what it means to be an American.

Watch the video below to hear what Dave discovers and check out Bryan on Scouting for the original story. What does it mean to be an American to you? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
